Ben and Halle are personally involved in every event, setting up a self-contained coffee cart with a high-end espresso machine and single estate coffee locally roasted in Acton, MA by George Howell Coffee Company. Your guests get made-to-order lattes, cappuccinos, matches, seasonal drinks, and house-made syrups. You get a vendor who handles everything from setup to cleanup.

How the Coffee Cart Works at a Private Event

The cart rolls into your space (living room, backyard, event venue, club house) and becomes the center of the gathering. Guests order whatever they want from the full menu. Every drink is made fresh to order. There is no limit on drinks per person.

The setup is self-contained. We bring the machine, the grinder, all cups and lids, coffee, matcha, milk (whole and oat), water, and our house-made syrups. We need one 15-amp outlet and about 6x6 ft of floor space. We arrive early to set up, we clean up completely when we're done, and we haul everything out. Nothing for you to coordinate on event day.

For outdoor events without power access, we can bring a generator. For rain or sun coverage, we offer a 12x12 ft tent as an add-on.

Events Where the Espresso Bar Shines

Birthday parties. A milestone birthday with great coffee instead of another caterer's boxed setup. Guests remember the latte with heart-shaped latte art more than the cupcakes.

Baby showers and bridal showers. The cart adds a polished, personal touch. Custom cups with the guest of honor's name or initials make it feel intentional.

Graduation parties. Celebrate with a menu that keeps the energy up for a full afternoon.

Holiday gatherings and open houses. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's. Our seasonal menu (think Clovara in fall, Winterbloom in December) is built for these occasions.

Anniversary parties and milestone celebrations. A 50th birthday, a retirement party, a vow renewal. The espresso bar gives guests something to gather around.

70 to 90 drinks per hour. Best when guests arrive all at once.

150 to 200 guests

2 baristas, 2 carts

2 baristas, 2 carts. 80 to 100 drinks per hour, with two service points, so two shorter lines.

Private Event Coffee Cart FAQ

  • Yes. Most of our private event bookings are at private residences. We need a 6x6 ft space, one 15-amp outlet, and ground-level access for roll-in. Garages, patios, living rooms, and backyards all work.

  • One barista serves approximately 50 guests per hour. For events with more than 100 guests, we recommend two baristas. Not everyone orders at once, so our capacity typically exceeds the headcount comfortably.

  • No. Every booking includes unlimited drinks from our event menu for the full service window.

  • Matcha lattes are included with every booking. Chai lattes are available as add-ons.

  • Two to three weeks is typical. Weekends fill faster than weekdays, especially in spring and fall. If you want custom cup branding, give us two weeks notice.

  • Solarium Coffee is an owner-operated business. Ben and Halle are personally involved in every event we book, from the initial planning conversations through menu decisions and day-of logistics. Most of the time, one or both of us will be the barista behind the cart. For larger events, or on the occasional day when both of us cannot be on site, a trained team member joins or stands in for us. Anyone representing Solarium has been prepared by us directly and is held to the same standards we set for ourselves.
