Specialty Coffee Catering in Boston, MA
Owner-Operated · No Travel Fee in Boston · 5.0 ★ on Google · Transparent, Published Pricing · Single Estate Coffee
You are planning a product launch in the Seaport, a conference break at the Hynes, an all-hands downtown, or a birthday in Beacon Hill. Coffee should be the easiest part of your event. We bring a full espresso bar to your venue, make every drink to order, and handle setup, service, and breakdown while you run your event.
Solarium is Ben and Halle. The people you email while planning are the people behind the cart on the day. We are 30 minutes west in Framingham, we pour single estate espresso roasted in Massachusetts by George Howell Coffee Company, and we make our syrups from scratch.
MIT, Harvard, the Boston Red Sox, Levi's, Anthropologie, and FIFA have all had our cart at their events. Whether you are hosting 500 conference attendees or 15 people in a conference room, you get the same two owners and the same coffee.
How Boston Pricing Works
You have enough unknowns in your event budget. Ours is not one of them. Every package price is published on our pricing page, in full, with no quote form standing in front of it and no three day wait. No surprises, no surcharges, no credit card fees.
Every package covers 2 hours of service, setup, breakdown, and all cups and supplies. You pick the package by headcount:
Up to 100 guests
1 barista, 1 cart
About 50 drinks per hour from a single service point.
100 to 150 guests
2 baristas, 1 cart
About 100 drinks per hour. Best when guests arrive all at once.
150 to 200+ guests
2 baristas, 2 carts
About 100 drinks per hour, with two service points, so two shorter lines.
Over 200 guests, or a longer event? We will build the setup around it.
Included in every package
Unlimited drinks during your service window: espresso, matcha, and seasonal
Everything consumable: cups, lids, whole and oat milk, house-made syrups
Water and waste, both handled by us
Setup and breakdown, before and after your window
Credit card fees, already in the price
What can change your total
Extra hours beyond the 2 included
Branding: custom cups, cart wrap in your colors, or a latte art printer
A signature drink built around your product or occasion
Menu additions: cold brew, chai, decaf, specialty drip
Travel, which does not apply to Boston. Your venue is inside our included area, so there is no travel fee
What We Do at Boston Events
Four ways Boston planners usually book us. The cart needs a 6x6 ft footprint and one dedicated 15-amp outlet, which nearly every office, hotel ballroom, and event space in the city can give us.
Corporate Events
The Seaport, the Financial District, Longwood, and the towers along Congress and State Street keep us busy with all-hands meetings, client appreciation events, and leadership off-sites. Quiet setup, fast service, and your logo on every cup if you want it.
Weddings and Private Celebrations
South End brownstones, Beacon Hill rowhouses, Jamaica Plain backyards, and Boston weddings from cocktail hour to the last dance. The cart fits in a home, a rented space, or a driveway, and Ben and Halle run the whole thing start to finish.
Conferences and Expos
The BCEC and the Hynes run on tight break windows. Two baristas serve about 100 people an hour, and the cart tucks into a foyer without blocking traffic. We are happy to join the call with your venue coordinator about loading and power.
Brand Activations and Pop-Ups
Newbury Street and the Seaport are Boston's busiest corners for activations. Branded cups, a signature drink named for your product, and cart branding in your colors turn the coffee line into the part people photograph.
Espressos, americanos, cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites, matcha, and iced versions of all of it, plus guest favorites like Halle's Morning and the Cinnamon Sugar latte. Whole and oat milk are standard, almond with advance notice. Check out our menu →

How Booking Works
Event planning has enough moving parts. Here is the whole process.
Tell us about your event
Date, Boston venue, rough headcount, and how long you want us pouring. The form takes about two minutes and a price comes back in minutes.
Talk it through
You speak directly with Ben or Halle. If you are at a Seaport hotel or the Hynes and want to walk through loading and power first, that call is quick.
Lock in your date
A deposit holds your date, first come first served. Boston's conference calendar runs heavy in spring and fall, so those dates go early.
Enjoy your own event
We arrive before your first guest, run clean service throughout, and leave the space exactly as we found it. You will not have to manage us.
Boston Questions We Get A Lot
-
A 6x6 ft footprint and one dedicated 15-amp outlet. That covers the cart, a support table, and room for the baristas to work. We carry a 25 ft extension cord if we cannot be right next to the outlet. For loading we need ground-level entry or a freight elevator. Outdoors, we can bring a 12x12 ft tent and a generator so no outlet is needed.
-
Yes, and we have done plenty of events at comparable spaces. We carry liability insurance and can send a certificate of insurance to your venue or coordinator on request. One thing worth checking on your end: a few Boston venues have exclusive food and beverage arrangements that cover coffee. If you are not sure about yours, ask the coordinator and we will help with any documentation they need.
-
No. Every Boston venue sits inside the travel area already covered by our package prices, so the number you see on the pricing page is the number you pay. If you are booking somewhere farther out, we quote travel up front rather than adding it later.
-
Two weeks of lead time is usually enough for weekday events and off-peak weekends. For Boston's spring and fall conference seasons, 4 to 8 weeks is a safer target, since we limit how many events we take in order to keep the quality up. That said, reach out even if your date is close. We often make it work.
-
Ben and/or Halle, most of the time. Solarium is owner-operated, so the people planning your event are usually the people behind the cart. For larger events, or on the rare day we cannot both be on site, a barista we trained directly joins or stands in. You are not hiring a company that dispatches a stranger on your event day.
-
Yes, all three. Custom printed cups need about two weeks notice. Cart branding puts the whole cart in your colors. A signature drink is built to your direction, whether that is a flavor profile, an occasion, or a product. These are the add-ons Boston brand activations and product launches reach for most.
