Research team appreciation days in Kendall Square, alumni gatherings near Harvard Square, symposium breaks where guests notice ordinary coffee. Coffee should be the easiest part of your event. We bring a full espresso bar, make every drink to order, and handle setup, service, and breakdown.
Solarium is owner-led. Ben and Halle plan and coordinate every event, and most of the time they are behind the bar too, alongside a team of baristas they trained themselves. We are based in Framingham and pour single estate espresso roasted in Massachusetts by George Howell Coffee Company, with syrups made from scratch.
The MIT Alumni Association, the MIT Sports Summit, and Harvard Law School have all had our cart at their events. For the Sports Summit, where FIFA sponsored the cart, we created The Pitch: matcha with orange blossom syrup and fresh lemon zest, green and clean like a match-day field.

What We Do at Cambridge Events
Four ways Cambridge planners book us. The cart needs a 6x6 ft footprint and one dedicated 15-amp outlet, which fits most office lobbies, atriums, event rooms, and homes in the city.
Corporate Events in Kendall Square
Kendall Square is one of the densest life sciences and tech corridors in the country. Coordinators book us for employee appreciation, team milestones, and client mornings. We set up and run without hand-holding, and your logo can go on every cup.

MIT's symposium calendar and summits at the Cambridge Marriott and the Hyatt Regency Cambridge run on tight break windows. Two baristas serve about 100 drinks an hour. Flag loading docks, freight elevators, and parking early and we will sort them out with your venue.

Cambridge audiences are discerning, so a sponsor's coffee has to earn its place. A named signature drink, branded cups, and a cart in your colors make the line the part people photograph. On a Kendall Square plaza or a university courtyard, we bring a 12x12 ft tent and a generator.

Inman Square, Central Square, the blocks near the Charles, and the streets around Harvard Square are full of people who host well. Dinner parties, milestone birthdays, showers, alumni reunions. The cart fits in a home or a rented room, and guests linger at it.

How Booking Works
Four steps, and the first one takes two minutes.
Tell us about your event
Date, Cambridge venue, rough headcount, and how long you want us serving. The form takes about two minutes and a price comes back in minutes.
Talk it through
You speak directly with Ben or Halle. Loading docks, freight elevators, and parking near Kendall Square or MIT's campus get sorted on that call.
Lock in your date
A signed agreement and deposit holds your date, first come first served. May graduation season and the fall conference season go first.
Enjoy your own event
We arrive before your first guest, run clean service throughout, and leave the space exactly as we found it. You will not have to manage us.
Cambridge Questions We Get a Lot
How much space and power do you need?
A 6x6 ft footprint and one dedicated 15-amp outlet. That covers the cart and a support table. We carry a 25 ft extension cord if we cannot sit right next to the outlet. In older Cambridge buildings we need ground-level entry or a freight elevator. Outdoors, we bring a 12x12 ft tent and a generator, so no outlet is needed.
Can you serve at MIT, Harvard, or a Cambridge hotel?
Yes, and we have served MIT events before, including the MIT Alumni Association and the MIT Sports Summit. We carry liability insurance and can send a certificate to your venue on request. Some Cambridge venues have exclusive food and beverage contracts that cover coffee, so check with your coordinator, and we will help with any paperwork.
Is there a travel fee for Cambridge events?
No. Cambridge sits inside the travel area already covered by our package prices, so the number on the pricing page is the number you pay. For venues farther out, we quote travel up front rather than adding it later.
How far in advance should I book?
Two weeks is usually enough for weekday events and off-peak weekends. For May graduation season and the fall conference season, aim for 4 to 8 weeks, since we limit how many events we take. If your date is close, reach out anyway. We often make it work.
Who actually shows up on the day?
A Solarium barista team, usually with Ben or Halle behind the bar. Ben and Halle coordinate every event and work most of them in person. On larger events, or days with more than one booking, our baristas run the bar, all trained by us to the same standard. You are not hiring an agency that sends whoever is free.
Can you brand the cups or create a drink for us?
Yes, and the signature drink and custom menu are free with every booking. We build the drink around your occasion or product, the way we built The Pitch for FIFA at the MIT Sports Summit, and design the menu with your logo, colors, or names. Branded cups, a branded cart, and an on-drink logo printer are optional add-ons, and custom cups need about two weeks notice. Add-on prices are listed here →
