You are planning an appreciation event for a research team in Kendall Square, an alumni gathering near Harvard Square, or a symposium where guests will notice ordinary coffee. Coffee should be the easiest part of your event. We bring a full espresso bar, make every drink to order, and handle setup, service, and breakdown.
Solarium is Ben and Halle. The people you email while planning are the people behind the cart on the day. We are based in Framingham and serve single estate espresso roasted in Massachusetts by George Howell Coffee Company, with syrups made from scratch.
The MIT Alumni Association, the MIT Sports Summit, and Harvard Law School have all had our cart at their events. For the Sports Summit, where FIFA sponsored the cart, we created The Pitch: matcha with orange blossom syrup and fresh lemon zest, green and clean like a match-day field.
How Cambridge Pricing Works
You have enough unknowns in your event budget. Ours is not one of them. Every package price is published on our pricing page, in full, with no quote form standing in front of it and no three day wait. No surprises, no surcharges, no credit card fees.
Every package covers 2 hours of service, setup, breakdown, and all cups and supplies. You pick the package by headcount:
Up to 100 guests
1 barista, 1 cart
About 50 drinks per hour from a single service point. The usual pick for a Kendall Square team event or a private party.
100 to 150 guests
2 baristas, 1 cart
About 100 drinks per hour. Best when guests arrive all at once, like a symposium break.
150 to 200+ guests
2 baristas, 2 carts
About 100 drinks per hour, with two service points, so two shorter lines. The setup for large conferences and multi-room venues.

What We Do at Cambridge Events
Four ways Cambridge planners book us. The cart needs a 6x6 ft footprint and one dedicated 15-amp outlet, which fits most office lobbies, atriums, event rooms, and homes in the city.
Corporate Events in Kendall Square
Kendall Square is one of the densest life sciences and tech corridors in the country. Coordinators there book us for employee appreciation, team milestones, and client mornings. We set up and run without hand-holding, and your logo can go on every cup.
Private Events and Home Gatherings
Inman Square, Central Square, the blocks near the Charles, and the streets around Harvard Square are full of people who host well. Dinner parties, milestone birthdays, bridal showers, alumni gatherings. Ben or Halle is almost always your barista,and guests linger at the cart.
Conferences and Summits
MIT's symposium calendar and summits at the Cambridge Marriott and the Hyatt Regency Cambridge run on tight break windows. Two baristas serve about 100 drinks an hour. Flag loading docks, freight elevators, and parking early and we will work them out with your venue.
Brand Activations and Sponsorships
Cambridge audiences are discerning, so a sponsor's coffee has to earn its place. A named signature drink, branded cups, and a cart in your colors make the line the part people photograph. On a Kendall Square plaza or a university courtyard, we bring a 12x12 ft tent and a generator.

How Booking Works
Four steps, and the first one takes two minutes.
Tell us about your event
Date, Cambridge venue, rough headcount, and how long you want us serving. The form takes about two minutes and a price comes back in minutes.
Talk it through
You speak directly with Ben or Halle. Loading docks, freight elevators, and parking near Kendall Square or MIT's campus get sorted on that call.
Lock in your date
A signed agreement and deposit holds your date, first come first served. May graduation season at MIT and Harvard and the fall conference season go first.
Enjoy your own event
We arrive before your first guest, run clean service throughout, and leave the space exactly as we found it. You will not have to manage us.
Cambridge Questions We Get A Lot

A 6x6 ft footprint and one dedicated 15-amp outlet. That covers the cart, a support table, and room for the baristas to work. We carry a 25 ft extension cord if we cannot be right next to the outlet. For loading we need ground-level entry or a freight elevator. Outdoors, we can bring a 12x12 ft tent and a generator so no outlet is needed.

Yes, and we have served MIT events before, including the MIT Alumni Association and the MIT Sports Summit. We carry liability insurance and can send a certificate to your venue on request. Some Cambridge venues have exclusive food and beverage contracts that cover coffee, so check with your coordinator, and we will help with any paperwork.

No. Cambridge sits inside the travel area already covered by our package prices, so the number on the pricing page is the number you pay. For venues farther out, we quote travel up front rather than adding it later.

Two weeks is usually enough for weekday events and off-peak weekends. For May graduation season and the fall conference season, aim for 4 to 8 weeks, since we limit how many events we take. If your date is close, reach out anyway. We often make it work.

Ben and Halle, most of the time. Solarium is owner-operated, so the people planning your event are usually the people behind the cart. For larger events, or on the rare day we cannot both be there, a barista we trained ourselves joins or stands in.

Yes, all three. Custom printed cups and cart branding in your colors each need about two weeks notice. A signature drink is built for your event, the way we built The Pitch for FIFA at the MIT Sports Summit, and also needs about two weeks. All three are add-ons listed on our pricing page.
